Nxamaseri Ladies Fishing Society, Nxamaseri Island Lodge, Botswana

The nXamaseri Ladies Fishing Society was founded in 2007 at Nxamaseri Island Lodge on the Nxamaseri Channel of the Okavango River in Botswana. It's purpose is to promote the fun and ejoyment of fishing for the "fairer sex" while visiting the lodge.Skilled fisherwomen and novices alike are invited to share pictures of their prize catches from Nxamaseri,weighing 4 lbs and up and caught using either fly or lure

Avid fly fisher-woman Ronnie Ritchie and lodge owner Debbie Logan came up with the idea for the NxLFS when the two met and fished together in 2007. Ronnie Ritchie is the founding member.

Nxamaseri Island Lodge offers world class catch and release fishing in the fabulous Okavango Delta. Tigerfish, Nembwe, Barblefish and a number of species of Bream can be caught in the Okavango. The prime season is August, September and November when the "Barble Run" attracts voracious Tiger Fish. Record catches weighing 12 lbs and up have been landed in Nxamaseri fishing boats by both men and women.
